Buying a home is one of the most exciting milestones in your life. To be the most educated and prepared you can be, you'll need to know what to expect during the process. This step-by-step timeline I've created for my buyers will help reduce the stress and/or anxiety you feel when buying a home, and will help you enjoy the journey as much as possible.

BUYER'S REPRESENTATION

Per the NAR lawsuit, it is now legally required for buyers to sign a buyer-broker agreement prior to viewing a property. This means the real estate industry's landscape is shifting, especially for buyers. One of the main outcomes of this change is that buyer's now are required, legally, to sign an agreement with a buyer's broker in order to tour any properties.
This can be done in the form of a "Single Property Agreement" which covers 1 specific home, or a "Long Form Agreement" which typically lasts around 6-12 months.

When you sign a buyer's agreement with me you can rest easy knowing that you are able to terminate that agreement at any time!

BENEFITS OF A BUYER'S AGREEMENT

Through this agreement you can expect the following benefits:

*Full representation: With a signed agreement, you have a dedicated associate broker who is legally committed to working on your behalf, ensuring your best interests are not only discussed but also protected throughout the transaction!

*Clear terms: Your agreement outlines exactly what services you receive and how compensation is handled, eliminating stress and surprises later on.

*Customized approach: You can choose between a "Single property agreement" if you are focused on 1 home in particular, or are not quite ready to lock into the buying process, or a "long form agreement" if you're in the process of exploring multiple options, or are more serious about buying a home within a set amount of time.

*Transparency in compensation: This new requirement is helping us create more transparent communication around the compensation process, so you know upfront what to expect and what your options are, rather than being blindsided later on.

Signing an agreement ensures that you have someone dedicated to serving you, on your side, and committed to helping you navigate the complexities of buying a home in today's real estate market. You deserve to feel and be empowered, educated and represented - and you can expect nothing less when you work with me!
